“We’ve used the Silent Auction software and cheque book system at our annual Summer Ball since its inception in 2003 – and we wouldn’t be without it.
On the fundraising side, the system simply raises more money than any other silent auction format – last year (2005) we raised over £143,000, and that’s great news for the charities we support. The system also provides ‘print outs’ all the winners and bid history, and this makes collecting the money at the end of the evening just so simple.
On the other side, our Ball is as much about having a great time as raising money for our worthy causes. The Silent Auction system just adds to the fun; it’s engaging, competitive, our guests love seeing their names up on the big screens - and it creates a genuine ‘buzz’ that supports the rest of the evening’s entertainment. We wouldn’t consider putting our Ball on, or indeed any fundraising event, without using the system, and we can wholeheartedly recommend it anyone considering staging a charity function.”
